Welcome to La Crosse County's on-line application system!  It is easier than ever to apply for our vacancies by creating your secure account with your own username and password.  Once your account is created, you can build an application that can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.
  • If this is your first time using our on-line system, you will need to Create an Account.  Be sure to print and/or save your account information.  You should not allow any other person to utilize your account.
  • In order to create an account you will need to have a valid e-mail address.  If you do not already have an e-mail account you can sign up for a free e-mail account with GMail,Hotmail, Yahoo!Mail or Exite.   Each account must have a unique email address.
  • Watch your e-mails!  Our contacts with you will be mainly by e-mail.
  • Once your account is established, you will build your application
    • Employment History - Provide a complete list of all full and part-time jobs, volunteer and military experience, and self-employment for the past 10 years.  List your present or most recent job first.  Also list experience beyond ten years, if it is reasonably related to the job for which you are applying.
    • Education - List all education attained.
    • References - Provide at least three people who have knowledge of your qualifications, such as persons who were previous work supervisors (and who are not the direct supervisor you list in your Employment History.) Do not list relatives.
    • Be Thorough! - It is important that your application illustrates your qualifications.  Incomplete applications may be rejected.
  • On-line applications are stored on a secure site.  Only authorized employees and hiring authorities have access to the information submitted.
  • To apply for a current opening, click on the job title below, carefully read the job details and then click on "Apply".  You will then be prompted to Log in with your username and password.
  • If you are interested in a job that we are not currently recruiting for, you can complete aJob Interest Card to be notified of future vacancies in various categories.


Tips for Success
  • Prepare ahead of time - collect details about your education and employment history.
  • The first time you create an application, be ready to spend 30 minutes or more, though you can save your work at any time and return to it later.
  • If you wish to submit a résumé, you can attach the file to your on-line application.  However, you still must thoroughly complete the application - "see résumé" is not acceptable!
  • Provide an address and a phone number for all previous employers.
